Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Here are the links for July 26, 2020:
1. You will see shots from the new cameras included in the video today. As I mention in the announcements, the video side of things is going smoothly. Our team would like a little more time to get used to the controls. That additional time also will allow us to address the audio issues and bugs that we have identified. All in all, we are moving towards the time when we can record a full service — in sequence — with in-person worship in the sanctuary. That is a good thing.
2. We have contacted Spectrum internet to install a hardwire signal to the sanctuary building. It will be a few weeks before they are able to schedule that installation. The hardwire signal is what we need in order to be able to “livestream”; that is, to simultaneously broadcast what is taking place in the sanctuary. Until we have that capability, we will be recording and posting the video later on Sundays.
3. There is a blip in the recording of the sermon this week. Towards the end, there is a sentence that appears in the video as, “I can trust God.” That is true enough, but it was not the full sentence. The primary camera cut off right at that point, our secondary camera (the iPhone) had switched off because the recording was disrupted by phone calls and texts, and the track on the new cameras was inaudible.
The complete sentence was (and is): “I can trust God because God has — in Jesus Christ — proven to be trustworthy.”
